A world-class, functional, and stylish healthcare centre has opened its doors at Val de Vie Evergreen. The centre offers 24-hour care in three separate wards and is equipped with fully electronic beds, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, DStv and a lounge/dining area.
A comprehensive range of inpatient care services is offered on a long-term and short-term basis and includes frail care, palliative care and memory care. The facility also caters for overnight stays, where the patient might require only a couple of nights of care outside of their home. The centre has a support clinic section for regular health checks, nursing procedures and vaccination programmes.
Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by an in-house chef at the Val de Vie Evergreen Clubhouse kitchen and delivered daily to the care centre.
The addition of four new full time staff members includes a ward secretary, three nursing auxiliaries, two registered nurses and Evergreen Health Nursing Manager, Dr Guin Lourens.
Val de Vie Evergreen residents have access to 24-hour medical emergency assistance with nurse-call alarms in every unit. Services at the healthcare centre is offered to Val de Vie Evergreen residents at preferential rates.
Homebased care services rendered by the Evergreen Health team include:

– Referral to specialised occupational speech and physiotherapy services available at
home
– Assisted living
